Delta state has declared its preparedness to ensure a quality and successful hosting of 21st National Sports Festival as all 35 states and the FCT are already on ground for the games
The Delta state Commissioner for Information Mr Charles Aniagwu let this out this Wednesday at a press conference to herald the festival.
Mr Aniagwu speaking at the press centre of the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, Delta state informed that despite the antics and misinformation from some quarters to the contrary.
The Commissioner in the the big heart state assured that the Stephen Keshi Stadium and other facilities to ensure a smooth and successful hosting are ready.
He appreciated the Federal Government, through the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development and other states for their cooperation for making it possible for Delta to host the festival of over 13,000 athletes participating.
Mr Aniagwu added that Delta state has won the first gold medal of the competition in cycling.
