As artisans have been identified as the driver of the state’s economy, the ogun state government has promised to collaborate with the group to improve on their performances to encourage employment generation for the people of the state
The state Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun who made the promise on Thursday during the presentation of a new bus to the executivesl members of ogun state chapter of artisans association of Nigeria,led by its chairman, comrade Anthony ayodele at okemosan, abeokuta said the presentation was infuflfiment of the promise made to them on the artisan day recently held in the state
The governor said the bus would serve as a veritable tools to hasten the movement of the members of the association from one location to the other
Mr governor while thanking them for their support described the association as an employer of labor that have contributed immensely to the growth of the state economy
The governor explained that the group has played major roles in the achievements recorded by the current through their efforts promised that government would do everything possible to appreciate their efforts in the agenda of building the future of the state together
Responding on behalf of the association, its chairman, comrade Anthony ayodele who described governor abiodun as a promise keeper commended him for the massive infrastructural projects across the state
Comrade ayodele assured that his members would support his re-election come 2023 in appreciation of his good performances
