President Mohammadu Buhari on Thursday said that his decision to stop the maximum use of military force against terrorists to rescue the remaining victims of the Kaduna Abuja train attacks of March 28, 2022 was to avoid collateral damage.
The President stated this when he met in Abuja with the representatives of the victims of the abduction.
He assured them that the federal government was doing everything within its powers to ensure the safe return of the remaining captives.
Mr President also explained his reason for refusal to use lethal military force to free the abductees.
He added that he had never doubted the ability of those who have dedicated themselves to defending the country.
