GOVERNOR ABIODUN READS RIOT ACT TO CRIMINAL ELEMENTS

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun says his administration would not condone any act of criminality capable of truncating the peace and tranquility being enjoyed by the residents of the state

Governor Abiodun gave the warning on  Monday at a reception organised for members of  the Ogun State League of imams and Alfas led by the Chief imam of Egbaland, Sheik Alhaji S’andala Bamgbola to commemorate this year’s eid-filtri celebration at the presidential Lodge, Abeokuta

The governor while explaining that government has invested heavily in it’s security architecture towards providing adequate security for investors, stressed that any form of criminality from any quarter would be treated as an act of sabotage

Governor abiodun who urged parents and guardians to train their children and wards on the need to stay away from kidnapping, cultism, ritual killing among others, warned that anyone caught in the act would be treated as a saboteur.

Governor Abiodun while reassuring that the current administration will always ensure that religious bodies in the state are given equal treatment, implored the religious leaders to interface on behalf of the government by educating the youths about the dangers inherent in committing crimes

Enumerating the importance of religious leaders to the enthronement of good governance in the state, the governor advised the residents to imbibe the spirit of tolerance as a means of promoting peaceful coexistence across the state
