FC Nilayo midfielder, Kabiru Popoola is now stable and has returned home from hospital after sustaining a head injury in his team’s Nigeria National League clash with Osun United on Saturday.
Popoola who has scored two goals this season went down after a head collision and was unconscious for few minutes.
It took the combined effort of the medics from the home side, the standby ambulance provided by the state football Association, players and officials of the two teams to get him back to life.
He was immediately taken to the hospital and the General manager of FC Nilayo, Mr Lekan Kelani confirmed that he was discharged after responding to treatment.
The player himself confirmed that he is okay and appreciated the club management, staff and his teammates for the love and support.
FC Nilayo are currently on break just like other teams plying their trade in the NNL
