Team Ogun has won its first Gold medal at the ongoing National Sports Festival in Edo State.
Salawudeen Afeez, who competed in the Taekwondo Demonstration event in the male individual category defeated team Delta in the Gold medal match.
Athlete from the host state, Edo finished third to claim the bronze medal in the event that took place at the UniBen Sports Hall, Benin, Edo State.
Events will continue on Tuesday as team Ogun will hope to continue with the momentum when table tennis and boxing events take centre stage
