The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun will this Tuesday inaugurate the committee to work on the actualisation of “Violence Against Person’s (Prohibition) law of Ogun State 2019,otherwise known as VAPP law.
The committee to be chaired by the wife of the Governor, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun, has the commissioner for women affairs and social development, Mrs Funmi Efuwape as the vice chairman.
A statement to this effect further indicates that other ex-officio include the Ministry of Justice, Chief Margistrate in charge of family court, Director of citizens right department, chairperson of Ogun State House of Assembly Committee on Social Development among others.
The event is to take place at Oba’s complex, Governor’s office Oke-Mosam, Abeokuta.
The VAPP law was established to project anyone from physical,emotional psychological and economic from abuse.
