The newly constituted Governor’s Elders Advisory Council in Ogun State says the National Reconciliation Committee of the All Progressives Party APC may have little or no assignment in ogun state by the time it comes visiting from Abuja.
This is because the council has promised to use the wisdom endowed it’s members by God to interface with warring groups and individuals towards creating a formidable team to take the state to next level.
These were the words of some of the members of the committee in a remark at the inauguration held at Oba’s Complex Okemosan Abeokuta.
In his words, Honourable Babatunde said members of the council would make governance easier for Governor Dapo Abiodun by ensuring peace within and outside the political class as well as lend their voices on issues on socio-economic development of the state.
On her part, Former Deputy Governor Salmot Badru said the elders were pleased with the current administration’s  all-inclusive and participatory system of governance.
She however advised the Governor to also regularly dialogue with rural dwellers towards ensuring that their needs are met in order of priority.
On his part, Chief Tolu Daudu implored the state helmsman to create time to regularly meet with the Council for discussions and have uninterrupted information channel with him.
