The Ogun State House of Assembly has expressed appreciation to governor Dapo Abiodun for his commitment to the well-being of the people.
TheĀ Speaker Rt Hon. Oludaisi Elemide during Thursday’s plenary noted the efforts of the state number one citizen in ameliorating the suffering of the people with his pronouncement of palliatives including provision of subsidized rice to the people,just as he called for thoroughness and honesty from those to be saddled with the implementation of the palliatives as announced by the governor
Earlier, while speaking under personal explanations on the floor, Assemblymen Adeyanju Adegoke,Seun Adesanya,Waliu Owode,Bisi Oyedele as well as Babatunde Tella described governor Abiodun as a true democrat,committed through his various intervention programmes which will give the people succor to ease their hardship.
While Assemblyman Tella wants the governor to sign into law the bill on anti grazing,others called for loans for farmers in the state to boost food security.
Lobby correspondent Dele Ogunleye reports that the lawmakers however promised to continue work with the state executive for the betterment of the people.
In the meantime,the speaker Rt Hon Oludaisi Elemide announced four MDAs that will appear before the Public Accounts and Anti corruption committee between Monday and Friday next week. The exercise is part of the oversight functions of the house.
Ministry of women Affairs and social development will appear before the committee on Monday at 10am as well as Technical and Vocation board while Ministry of Industry,Trade and Investment are to be at the committee room 215 to have their 2021 and 2022 financial records checked alongside Local government service commission on Wednesday..
