GOVERNOR ABIODUN WANTS THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO CONSIDER THE APPROVAL OF A FREE TRADE ZONE IN REMO AXIS .

The Ogun state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has appealed to the federal government through the ministry of industry, trade and investment for the approval of a Free Trade Zone in the Remo economy zone area of the state.

Governor abiodun made the appeal this tuesday while playing host to the minister of industry, trade and investment, Dr mrs Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta

Mr governor explained that the pending application for the free trade zone is hindering the progress of the work in the economic zone between the government and a third party stating that his government has introduced various programs and policies towards making investment in the state less cumbersome and seamless

The state helmsman also noted that the government is looking at ways to increase the state ranking on the easy of doing business informing that some of the government’s intervention in its industrialization policy has yielded positive results as the state currently is the most improved economy in the country

Governor Abiodun promised that his government would continue to partner her ministry in enhancing the nation’s economy in accordance with the objectives of Mr President

Earlier, the minister in her remark expressed the federal government’s commitment to support the state in its industrialization drive.

She commended the state for championing the industrialization drive of the federal government and the renewed hope agenda of the president Bola Tinubu administration.
