As health is wealth, the current administration at the gateway state has promised to increase its investment in theĀ  health sector due to its importance to the welness and well-being of the people of the state

Governor Dapo Abiodun let this out this midweek while addressing the management of thirteen boards under the Ministry of Health led by the Commissioner of Health, Dr Tomi Coker

Governor Abiodun explained that the huge investment made on the sector has yielded positive result as large number of the state Primary Health Centres, PHCs are now effective, adding that the Olabisi Onabanjo University teachings hospital, OOUTH in sagamu that was in comatose at the beginning of the current administration has been revived with the provision of modern day equipment

While commending the management of the hospital for efficiency, the governor said that the aim of the current administration was to make the health institutions a centre of pride in line with its vision

He urged the management to be more proactive in revenue generation by increasing its annual revenue base to over two billion naira

The governor described the commissioner for health, Dr Tomi Coker as an achiever whose proactive efforts has helped to mitigate the spread of covid -19 into many parts of the state
