Team Nigeria this Sunday afternoon added another gold medal to it’s medal haul in the Women’s 4X100 metres relay at the ongoing Commonwealth games in Birmingham.
The quartet of rave of the moment Tobi Amusan, Favour Ofili, Rosemary Chukwuma and Grace Nwokocha stormed to the finish line with an African record of 42.10 seconds to deliver Nigeria’s 11th gold medal at the games.
Tobi Amusan had earlier won the 100 metres women’s hurdles in 12.30 seconds, a Commonwealth games record.
Meanwhile, team Nigeria also registered a bronze medal in the men’s 4×100 metres event.
Udodi Onwuzuruike, Favour Ashe, Alaba Akintola, and Raymond Ekevwo delivered the podium finish.
