Commonwealth Games: Ese Brume Clinches Gold In Long Jump

Ese Brume delivered Nigeria’s 12th gold medal at the ongoing Commonwealth games on Sunday night, she also set a long jump games record in the Process.

A jump of 7.00 metres was enough for her to reclaim her Commonwealth games crown and also record Nigeria’s best ever outing in the history of the Commonwealth games.

Brume has now won a medal in her last five competitive outings for Nigeria.

She won bronze at the 2019 World Championship, bronze at the 2020 Olympics, silver at the 2022 indoor championship and silver at the 2022 world championship .

Also on Sunday, Tobi Amusan won gold in the 100 metres women’s hurdles, she also led the 4×100 metres women team to win a gold.
