GOVERNOR ABIODUN WINS APC GUBERNATORIAL PRIMARY IN OGUN

The Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun has been declared the winner of the All Progressives Congress APC, governorship primary election held on Thursday at MKO International stadium, Abeokuta after polling a total votes of 1,168 out of 1,170 votes cast.

Declaring the result of the election, the Chairman of the Ogun State gubernatorial primary election committee, Chief Wale Ohu explained that the total number of 1,180 delegates from the twenty local governments across the state were accredited, as a total of 1,168 vote were cast while 2 votes were invalid.

The Chairman of the five man committee informed that all other five aspirants including Honourable Adekunle akinlade, Mrs Modele Sarafa-Yusuf, Mr Biyi Otegbeye, Mr Remi Bakare and Architect Owodunni Ipayemi scored zero respectively.

While announcing the results, Chief Ohu said governor Abiodun having scored the majority votes was declared the winner of the governorship election and would be flying the flag of the party as the state governorship aspirants on the platform of all progressive Congress APC during the forthcoming general elections next year
