The Ogun State House of Assembly will on Monday commence the monitoring of this year’s budget performance on the various Ministries,Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of Government as well as Local Government Councils and Local Council Development Areas(LCDAs) in the state to ascertain their level of compliance with the 2019 appropriate law.
A statement signed by the Acting Clerk of the House, Mr Deji Adeyemi indicates that the annual exercise which is part of the oversight functions of the legislative arm of government at promoting good governance is in consonance with sections 128 and 129 of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The annual budget performance assessment tour, according to the statement which will commence at 10am daily, will end on October 10, 2019.
The statement enjoins all Ministries, Departments and Agencies(MDAs) of Government as well as Local Government Councils and LCDAs to make available relevant documents and information to the House committee to ensure the success of the exercise.
