OGUN STATE GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES JOB PORTAL TO ADDRESS UNEMPLOYMENT

The Federal Government has expressed readiness to assist the states in empowering the youths across the country.

Speaking at the launch of the job portal initiated by the state government, this Thursday at the June 12 Cultural centre, Kuto in Abeokuta, the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo explained that the Federal Government has kick started the empowerment programme by employing 5,000 youths through the N-Power programme which will soon be increased to a million.

He explained that the major commitment of the current administration at the Federal and State levels was to empower thousands of youths who want jobs, so that they will be useful to the Nation.

He described the Nation’s youths as energetic, dedicated and ready to contribute to the development of the Nation, advising the youths to key into the Agro Allied Programme of the Federal Government.

The Vice President thanked Governor Dapo Abiodun for the job portal which he said would go a long way in addressing unemployment in the State.
