OGUN STATE GOVERNMENT IS TO PRESENT A LOCAL CONTENT BILL TO THE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY TO TACKLE YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT

Ogun State Government says  it will soon send the state local content bill to the house of assembly for passage as a means of empowering the youths.

Once the bill is passed, it will be compulsory for all the companies in the state to consider the indigenes for employment before any other person.

Governor Dapo Abiodun let this out this Thursday while launching the job Portal initiated by the government, explaining that the launch of the portal was part of the commitment of the new administration to empower the youths.

He appealed to the people to continue to support the government to reposition the State.

In his remarks, the Olu of Ilaro and the Paramount ruler of Yewa land, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle thanked Governor Abiodun for the job portal which will greatly help the youths.

He advice the Governor to ensure that all the companies in the state have presence on the portal.

Twenty youths were offered employment instantly by Governor Dapo Abiodun having passed a quiz competition initiated by the Governor to test run the job portal.
