There is the need for stakeholders to ensure the care and welfare of children with special needs.
The wife of the Ogun State Governor, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun states this on Tuesday during her birthday celebration with pupils of the school for children with special needs, GRA,Sagamu and Ijebu Ode.
The Governor’s Spouse said children with special needs equally have the right to quality life, urging Government and individuals to look into their plights.
Mrs Abiodun who advised the children to be of good behaviors for the fulfillment of their ambitions cut her birthday cake with them and presented food items, groceries and cash gifts to them.
Earlier in his address, the Permanent Secretary,State Ministry of Education,Science and Technology,Mr Olu-Ola Aikulola expresses gratitude to Mrs Abiodun for putting smiles on the faces of the special children.
He also called on the Government to improve the facilities in the two schools as well as address their personnel and social needs.
