The Ogun State governor Prince Dapo Abiodun has described the former governor of Osun State, Chief Bisi akande as a pragmatic leader whose contributions to the enhancement of democracy in Nigeria is unquantifiable
Governor Abiodun made the remark on Tuesday while speaking at the 85th birthday celebration of the All Progressives Congress,,APC, chieftain held in Ibadan,Oyo state
The governor noted that the celebrant demonstrated quality leadership during his day as the governor of Osun state by instituting legacy projects which, according to him gave the state a face-lift
Describing him as honest and transparent leader, governor Abiodun posited that the celebrant has succeeded in helping the younger generation through his knowledge and administrative acumen
The governor who described the newly inaugurated Adebisi Akande Foundation as a good development, noted that it would help to immortalise the political icon for the benefit of the future generations
He prayed to God to grant him sound health to celebrate more years on earth
The event was attended by dignitaries including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu represented by the Lagos State governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Vice-President, Senator Kassim Shetima represented by the governor of Bornu State, Alhaji Babagana Zulum, governor of Oyo, Ekiti and Osun states, former governors, national assembly members, traditional rulers among others.
