The Ogun State governor Prince Dapo Abiodun this monday sworn in four new permanent Secretaries with a charge to be more dedicated and diligent in discharging their duties
Inaugurating the new permanent Secretaries at the exco chamber Abeokuta, Governor Abiodun charged them to work closely by collaborating and cooperating with the commissioners at their various ministries in order to achieve the objectives of the. current administration in building a virile state
The governor who explained that the appointment of the new permanent Secretaries would further strengthen the civil service, informed that the appointment was based on merit, hardworking, and diligence without any lobby
While assuring that his government would continue to implement policies that would enhance the civil service, the governor described the civil service as an engine room towards achieving good governance across the state
Congratulating the new permanent Secretaries on their appointment, Mr governor lauded the head of service, Mr Peter fagbohun for his proper coordination of the affairs of the state civil service which according to him has promoted professionalism and formidable workforce
He noted that his administration since inception has paid a sum of #112 billion as gratuities and pensions to the retired state and local government workers promising that his government is determined to reposition the civil service to be more proactive in building the future of the state together
The event was attended by people from all walks of life including government functionaries, traditional rulers, association of permanent Secretaries among others
