The Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has commissioned the Itori Township Road in Ewekoro Local Government with a promise to construct affordable Housing Scheme for the people of the area.
The governor who expressed concern over the deplorable condition of Lagos-Abeokuta expressway assured that his administration would partner the government at the centre to make it motorable.
Speaking at the inauguration of the road on Tuesday, governor Abiodun explained that the current administration has done everything within its capacity to convince the federal government in releasing the road to the state government but insisted that the road is under contract
Wh6ile urging the people to be patient, mr governor reiterated the commitment of the current administration in ensuring that necessary infrastructural amenities are provided to enhance people’s welfare across the state
He said the reconstruction of itori township road was in fulfilment of his promise during the last electioneering campaign, advising the residents to re-elect him for second term in order to enjoy more developmental projects in the town and the entire local gov55tt5
Earlier, the Commissioner for works, Engineer Ade Akinsanya who thanked the governor for the road reconstruction said the road would improve the socio-economic status of the town,noting that the road is provided with the necessary amenities for the benefit of the people of the town
