GOVERNOR ABIODUN THUMBS-UP RESIDENTS’ TURN OUT FOR VOTERS REGISTRATION

The Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun has expressed satisfaction over the large turn out of residents across the state for the ongoing voters registration.

The governor therefore promised to declare another work free day before the week runs out to afford all the residents to participate in the registration exercise

Governor Abiodun who let this onĀ  Tuesday while monitoring the registration exercise at Iregun and Imosan registration centres, Iperu-Remo in Ikenne Local government noted that the ongoing voters registration would give the residents the opportunity to elect credible candidates during the forthcoming election

While enumerating the importance of the voters card, Governor Abiodun urged those that are yet to register to do so before Sunday

Also speaking, Electoral Officer, EO , incharge of ikenne Local Government, Mr Ahmed Ojikutu said the electoral umpire has put the necessary logistics in place in ensuring that every residents that is qualify is not deny registration

He applauded the people of the local government for their cooperation in making the exercise less cumbersome

The Chairman of Ikenne Local government, Honourable Segun Ogunleye in a remark thanked Governor Abiodun for the public holiday which he said has allowed the residents to register in order not to be disenfranchised during the next year election
