President Muhammadu Buhari has assured that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited which was unveiled on Tuesday will guarantee energy security in the country.
According, to the President, the new enterprise would also support sustainable growth across other sectors of the economy , as it delivers energy to the world.
President Buhari who stated these at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja noted that the government is transforming the petroleum industry to strengthen its capacity and market relevance for the present and future energy priorities.. .
He informed that the NNPC Limited will sustainably deliver value to over 200 million stakeholders and the global energy community, adding that it will operate without relying on government funding and will be free from institutional regulations such as the Treasury Single Account .
The President also assured stakeholders in the industry that the Africa’ s largest National Oil Company will adhere to its fundamental cooperate value of integrity, excellence and sustainability….
