As the world renowned playwright and the 1986 Nobel Laureate prize winner in Literature, Prof Wole Soyinka clocks 88 years, the ogun state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has described him as rare breed to mankind, who has navigated the earth with exceptional honesty, hard work and diligence.

Governor Abiodun also congratulated the doyen of medicine in Nigeria , Emeritus Professor Theophilus Ogunlesi , who trained and mentored many other professors and Medical experts in Nigeria and abroad, as a special gift to the nation and the medical profession across the world.
Prof. Ogunlesi, who clocked 99 years on Monday , according to the governor became a medical doctor in 1947 and the first professor of medicine in Nigeria in 1965 .

While eulogizing the two scholars as living legends and the most evergreen brand ambassadors not only for ogun state but Nigeria and Africa at large, the Governor described them as flagbearers of the banner of excellence for which the state is revered among the comity of states in the country.
