The Ogun State government has promised to reconstruct some notable roads in Ota that links the state to Lagos State in order to adequately tap the economic benefits embedded in Lagos.
Governor Dapo Abiodun gave the assurance this Saturday during the inspection of various roads in Sango, in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government.
The Governor who was accompanied by his Deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, members of the state Assembly and other government functionaries said the current administration was determined to improve on the infrastructural amenities across the state, especially reconstruction of rural roads in fulfilling his promises during the electioneering campaign.
He described the modernization of Sango-Ota as a veritable avenue to increase the internally generated revenue,(IGR)n of the state due to its proximity to Lagos and to reduce the migration of people from the state to other areas due to the deplorable conditions of the roads.
