Ogun Public- Private Partnership Yielding Results As FCMB joins the Train.

The determination of the current administration in developing the state through public private partnership,PPP, initiative received a boost this midweek as a leading commercial bank in the country expressed readiness to give loans to indigene of the state interested in subscribing to the ongoing goverment housing scheme program across the state.

Addressing newsmen after a meeting held behind the closed door with the Ogun state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and some members of the state executive council at the presidential lodge, ibara, Abeokuta, the group Chief Executive Officer of FCMB group, Mr Ladi Balogun said the gesture would serve as a stimulus for the indigenes to have houses they can call their own

Mr Balogun informed that the visit was also to ascertain the areas the company can assist the state government in its efforts of improving on the state socio-economic status through its corporate Social Responsibility, CSR.

Mr Balogun who commended Governor Abiodun for the level of development recorded explained that the company in the last two years has not been able to perform its Corporate Social Responsibilities due to the outbreak of the pandemic that affected its operations but has decided to put the problem behind in the new year

Noting that government alone cannot do everything, the FCMB boss said the meeting has served as a channel of engagement to promote the quality of life of the people in order to give the government the opportunity for future plan

Expressing the readiness of the company in supporting Governor Abiodun to make his first tenure in office a memorable one, Mr Balogun said the team would soon be back in the state to know some of the areas government has chosen for the company to invest on

Responding, the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun who appreciated the company for their support during the outbreak of the global pandemic explained that the mobile laboratory donated by the company to the state has helped to fast track testing of covid 19 samples instead of taking it to lagos state for laboratory test

Governor abiodun informed that the current administration since inception has embarked on impactful projects for the benefit of the people of the state.

The governor added that government through its ISEYA mantra has embarked on massive provision of infrastructural amenities including good road network, rehabilitation of over one thousand classrooms, building of affordable housing scheme, reconstruction of over 236 primary health centres and some general hospitals for qualitative health delivery and provision of almost forty ambulances for emergency.

The governor while assuring that government would continue to implement policies and programs that will attract more investments into the state promised the company that government would ensure that the partnership becomes fruitful.
