Chief Gbenga Abijo Mourns, Pays Tribute To Aminisan of Oko

The Bobasuwa of Oko, Sagamu, Ogun State, Chief Gbenga Abijo has described the death of Aminisan of Oko, His Royal Highness, Oba Mufutau Adeoye Sanni as a colossal loss.

Chief Abijo who spoke from his base in the United Kingdom said Oko, Remoland, Ogun State and the whole Yoruba race has lost a passionate Monarch who was so keen about a United Nigeria.

Chief Abijo who is also the Otunba Keshinro of Remoland and the Ajagungbade of Makun, Sagamu shared memories he had with the late traditional ruler and noted that he will be greatly missed.

He said “Kabiesi will be missed for so many things, he was more like a father, a confidant, a family and above all, a friend”

“He was so ardent and enthusiastic about Oko and of course, Remoland as a whole, it was his dream to see his people flourish and thrive in their endeavors”

“Whenever he visits the UK, he made it a norm to visit my residence and we share ideas and discuss at length, we bonded like a family and it feels like I’m the one who would miss him the most”

“We took Oko, Sagamu to the United Kingdom together by floating what we call the Oko elite Chiefs of Sagamu, it clearly defines the relationship we had, it’s my prayer that the Lord rest his sould and stay with the family he left behind”.

The sports administrator cum successful businessman also extended his condolence to the Ogun State government under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun, the Akarigbo of Remoland , His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, all monarchs and chiefs in Remoland, as well as the entire Ogun State Traditional council of Oba’s.

Chief Abijo urged sons and daughters of Oko to stay United and continue to sustain the legacy left behind by the Aminisan of Oko.
