Women practising an opposite sex dominated profession have been advised to be role models to younger girls to enable them develop interest in the career.

The Ogun state Deputy Governor, Engineer Noimot Salako-Oyedele who gave the advice noted that Engineering is one of such professions.

While playing host to the executive members of the Association of Professional Women Engineers, APWEN, Abeokuta Chapter this midweek in her office in Oke-mosan Abeokuta, the Deputy Governor urged the Association to intensify efforts at making the Engineering profession more attractive for young girls, so that they can pursue a career in it..

Expressing delight that more women are being trained as Engineers, she assured the younger generation of girls that the sky is the starting point for them in whatever area they wish to specialise in.

Engineer Salako-Oyedele who promised to always support her professional colleagues congratulated the APWEN newly elected chairperson, Engineer Temitayo Adegbuyi for the nee position he assumed while rejoicing with the immediate past Chairperson of the Association, Engineer Olanike Ogunbona for a safe landing.
