The need for residents of Ogun state to ensure regular payments of tax to government’s coffers has again been brought to the fore.
A former Governor of the state, Aremo Olusegun Osoba brought this to the fore this midweek at the official Commissioning of Lantoro/Elite road, Abeokuta.
According to him, regular payments of tax will enable government have financial independence as it will boost the internally generated revenue, IGR, of the state.
He added that more developmental projects will surface across a state, that is buoyant.
The APC Chieftain who applauded Governor Dapo Abiodun for not embarking on white elephant projects said he is gradually building his legacy.
Advising the Governor to focus on projects that will accord him respect and recognition even after the expiration of his administration
Aremo Osoba urged him to continue to put smile on the faces of the common man.
