The Federal government has restated commitment towards making Agriculture attractive to the youths as. well as resuscitating the National Agricultural Land Development Authoutity ( NALDA).
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity Mr Femi Adesina who gave the hint while featuring on OGBC Personality Programme “Sunday Morning Live on FM” noted that this will make the nation attain food sufficiency in the long run..
He informed that over 4500 youths have been empowered through rabbitry and goat rearing schemes , while about 1000 farmers per local government are equally being assisted in animal husbandry, crop farming and aquaculture.
The Presidential Spokesman contended that time has come for the nation to focus more on Agriculture and make it the mainstay of the nation’s economy, urging the youths to embrace governments’ initiatives on Agriculture for self reliance.
Mr. Adesina who also called for concerted efforts in combating insecurity , said the federal government is not resting on its oars ,towards addressing the security challenges.
The Special Adviser explained that the safety of the people remains the priority of the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration.T
