The Ogun state government says it will continue to fulfil its electioneering campaign promises to the people of the state
Governor Dapo abiodun gave the assurance this Tuesday while inspecting fire fighting equipment acquired by the government at okemosan in Abeokuta
Governor abiodun explained that during the electioneering campaign,he promised to provide fire stations for all the local governments without any in all the places visited immediately on assumption of office by building fire stations and equip it with fire trucks
The man at the helms of affairs in the state said that government has commenced comprehensive rehabilitation of all the fire stations which are in state of disrepair in the last twenty years across the state
While pointing out that the recent fire outbreak in some of the markets in the state exposed the in effectiveness of the existing fire stations, the governor informed that government has approved the construction of two fiire stations for Ifo local government and one for isheri north in obafemi local government while the one at mowe/ibafo is under reconstruction
He maintained that more fire fighting equipment including two fire trucks would soon arrive the state in ensuring quick response to fire incidents for adequate protection of lives and properties against fire outbreak
