The Ogun state governor prince dapo abiodun has warned hoodlums to stay away from the state as government willnot allow any activities that will jeopardize its objectives of transforming the state economy through its public private partnership PPP initiative
Governor Dapo abiodun dropped the warning this Tuesday at okemosan in Abeokuta while addressing newsmen after the arrest of a serial killer named Samuel dosumu known as spartan
The governor explained that the suspects who had been disturbing the peace of residents of iperu-remo and ogeere has succeeded in killing seven people between April and August who later met his Waterloo this Tuesday due to the concerted efforts of the state police command in collaboration with other security agencies
Mr governor informed that the procurement of modern day equipment for the security agencies has helped in effective policing of the state adding that government would not rest on its oars until the state get rid of all the criminals
The governor who described the presence of criminals in the state as a threat to its vision emphasised that no investors would come to a place where kidnappers ,cultists and others crimes are being perp noetrated
While thanking the police personnel headed by the commissioner of police,;Mr Edward ajogun ,the department of security service, DSS, Nigerian army and local hunters for their determination in getting rid of the criminal, the governor assured that government would continue to work hard in creating jobs for the residents in order to curb criminal activities in the state
Specking with news in an interview, the state commissioner of police, Mr Edward ajogun applauded governor Dapo abiodun for the immense support given to the security agencies in the state
The commissioner explained that the arrest of the culprit was made possible through the use of drone in locating his hideout within a bush in ogeere stressing that the police command has put necessary machineries in place in making sure that the state is not a safe haven for criminals
