The determination of the current administration in providing an affordable accommodation for the people of ogun state received a boost this Thursday as family homes fund limited from abuja is ready to partner the government in achieving its aims
Addressing the managing director of the company, Mr Femi adewole during a courtesy call at the exco chamber, okemosan in Abeokuta, the Ogun state governor, prince Dapo abiodun said development of the housing sector was one of the agenda of the current administration in order to provide an affordable housing as many people preferred living in the state and working elsewhere being a gateway state
Governor abiodun explained that the government within the first year in office succeeded in its housing pilot scheme with the provision of affordable houses already sold out to the people stressing that the project presently had been expanded in other parts of the state including Abeokuta, Sagamu,ijebu-ode, ado-odo Ota and ilaro with the aims of providing 6,000 affordable housing scheme within a short time
Pointing out that the government is ready to align with the federal government in its Sustainability plan for the provision of an affordable housing scheme, the governor said as ogun state is being considered for the pilot scheme, government would work towards its successful implementation through the provision of lands at the locations that would be affordable for people
He added that government is working with other sectors in creating jobs for the people of the state
While commending the managing director of Family homes fund limited for the visit, governor abiodun assured that government is looking forward to deepen its relationship with the company
Earlier, Mr Femi adewole commended governor Dapo abiodun for the immense achievement recorded in the housing sector
Mr adewole explained that the purpose of the visit was to collaborate with the government towards the provision of mass housing project at an affordable prices in line with the vision of president Muhammad buhari to enhance the nation’s economy
