The Ogun State government will continue to take proactive steps towards ensuring that COVID-19 does not spread in the state.
The Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Public Communication, Hon Remmy Hassan gave the assurance while featuring on OGBC Personality Programme, Sunday Morning Live on FM.
According to Hon. Hassan, The Government as part of its preparation to tackle the disease headlong has set up three isolation centres with the fourth one being prepared in addition to the ones donated by public-spirited individuals.
He however noted that the move is aimed at preparing for the worse while hoping for the better as the number of cases in the state is not on the increase.
On the border closure by the government, the governor’s media aide said it was part of the proactive ways to check the spread of the disease as four out of five persons with the disease do not know that they are affected.
He urged people to abide by the governments’s directive by staying at home ensuring regular hand washing as well as keeping social distancing in the interest of all in order not to spread the disease.
