The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has reaffirmed that the current administration will continue to provide good road network and security for the people of the state.
Governor Abiodun gave the assurance this Wednesday during the official flag-off of Ijebu-Ode/ Epe Road at Oke-Owa in Ijebu-Ode.
The Governor described the occasion as a testimony of the current’s administration commitment to creating an enduring economy for the state.
He said that on completion the 14 kilometre road, will serve as alternative route decongesting the lagos-ibadan expressway, increasing commercial values of the area and creating employment for the youths
Stating that in the last nine months, government has improved that the business climate of the state using the Public Private Partnership PPP, the governor assured that government will sustain the momentum through strategic allocation of resources on projects with direct impacts on the people.
He also said that the construction and rehabilitation are currently ongoing on selected major roads in the state.
While urging the contractor handling the project to expedite action towards it’s timely completion within twelve months, the governor advised the people of the community to join hands in ensuring the speedy completion of the road by guarding against anything that could slow down the pace of work on the project.
