A call has gone to stakeholders to support Government at all levels in the guest to create economically stable livelihood for the youth.
The Director-General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier-General Shuaibu Ibrahim who was the guest speaker at the 11th Convocation of The TAI SOLARIN UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, who made the call observed that such support is needed to build a sustainable and peaceful environment that will fast track national development.
The NYSC DG maintained that a lot still need to be done to dissuade the youth from pursuing the illusive white collar jobs.
While highlighting some of the challenges of Vocational Training Education (VTE) and Entrepreneurial Education to include, Poor Perception, Apathy, Funding and inadequate equipment, he made case for the provision of funds, infrastructure as well as policy consistency to solve the problem.
Brigader Ibrahim also advised graduating students and others to concentrate on entrepreneurship in order to make a living.
