In acknowledge of the importance of the information communication technology, ICT to the overall development of the State Government has keyed into the ICT global trend by ensuring the teaching of computer science in primary and secondary schools.
The permanent secretary, Teaching service commission, Mrs Mojisola Dosunmu said this in an interview with OGBC correspondent, Nurat Yusuf in Abeokuta.
Mrs Dosunu who noted that the Government has included computer science in the curriculum for the pupils and students of public and private primary and secondary schools in the state, advised computer science and stem-related subject teachers to take advantage of the ongoing Professional Programme to be more efficient and effective in imparting knowledge in their students.
According to the TESCOM boss, the Government is poised to open the people’s mind to the opportunities embedded in the ICT.
