The Ogun State Government has described the public service as an essential tools which drives the success of any administration.
It is therefore necessary for the current administration to review and examine all appointments and employment into the public service and other government enterprises between February 1 and May 29 to ascertain if such appointments and promotions met the civil service rule and the extant law of the State.
Governor Dapo Abiodun made this known on Monday while inaugurating an 8-man review committee on government enterprises.
The committee is headed by a former head of service, Chief Dipo Odulate.
Inaugurating the committee, Governor Abiodun explained that the committee was not to witch-hunt anyone but strengthen the public service in achieving good governance and efficient workforce for quality service delivery to the people.
He explained that the feedback received by the government since it’s inception on May 29 as regards the appointments and employments were not satisfactory.
