The Ogun state Government has given the directive for the immediate commencement of the construction of hydraulic facilities across Balogun Kuku road ,Ijebu-Ode and Adigbe-Opako road in Abeokuta, the areas affected by a recent rainfall.
A statement by the Permanent Secretary,Ministry of work and infrastructure Engineer KAYODE ADEMOLAKE disclosed that Governor DAPO ABIODUN ordered the immediate re-construction of box culverts and the restoration of roads that were damaged by the recent flooding in the areas as part of his administration’s determination to make life bearable for the people.
ENGINEER ADEMOLAKE said that the construction would commence this Wednesday advising motorists to take alternative routes as the roads would be completely closed to traffic.
He assured residents of government provision for predestrain passages while the construction lasts.
