As preparations intensify for the 14th Gateway International Trade Fair, scheduled to take place from February 7 to 17, 2025, at the M.K.O Abiola Trade Fair Complex, Abeokuta, the Ogun State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (OGUNCCIMA) has been
charged to mobilize corporate organizations, attract wider participation, and build on past achievements to enhance the success of the Fair.
The Ogun State Commissioner for Industry, Trade, and Investment, Mr. Adebola Sofela, passed this across at a news conference in Abeokuta to officially announce the upcoming fair, themed “Promoting Business through Partnership.”
He assured that the state government remains committed to providing a conducive environment to guarantee the fair’s continued success.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Dr. Olu Ola Aikulola, the Commissioner highlighted the state government’s contributions under the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration, including enhancements to the M.K.O Abiola Trade Fair Complex, perimeter fencing, provision of a transformer, and consistent financial support.
These efforts, he noted, have significantly contributed to the improvement of the annual event.
Mr. Sofela also emphasized the ministry’s proactive engagement with relevant stakeholders to address OGUNCCIMA’s requests and assured the Chamber of continued support, urging them to reach out for additional assistance when necessary.
In his remarks, the President of OGUNCCIMA, Lion Niyi Osiyemi, stated that preparations for the fair are in full swing and expressed optimism that this year’s edition would surpass previous ones.
He noted that the Chamber had undertaken familiarization tours to raise awareness about the benefits of membership and pledged to intensify outreach efforts to industries ahead of future editions of the trade fair.
