Governor Dapo Abiodun has been commended for putting smile on the faces of the people of Akute/Ojodu Abiodun area of Ifo local government by reconstructing the Ojodu-Abiodun-Denro-Ishasi-Akute road.
Speakers at the commissioning of the 4.6 kilometre road this Friday expressed delight that the governor Abiodun-led administration came to the rescue of the people of the area by reconstructing the much important road after 16 years of neglect.
In their goodwill messages, the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle and the Olofin of Isheri, Oba Sulaimon Bamgbade said governor Abiodun’s decision to reconstruct the deplorable road will no doubt improve the socioeconomic activities and wellbeing of the people of the local government as well as increase the internally generated revenue from the area.
Also contributing, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Honourable Adijat Adeleye thanked Mr governor for ensuring the development of Ifo local government through road infrastructure, adding that the reconstructed Ojodu-Abiodun-Denro-Ishasi-Akute road with a bridge and other required facilities is indeed a milestone achievement.
On his part, the Ifo local government Chairman, Mr. Olalekan Kusimo described governor Abiodun as a promising leader, saying the reconstructed road is another testament to the commitment of the governor to improving the lives and livelihood of the people of the state.#
