OGUN HoS SPEAKS ON THE ESSENCE OF THE PUBLIC SERVICE DAY

The Public Service Day celebration is to ensure a balance inter-mix of social, physical and intellectual activities for the enhancement of the wellbeing of the Public Servants in line with the United Nations Day.

The Ogun State Head of Service, Mr Kehinde Onasanya stated this in a welcome address at the grand finale of the state Public Service week this Thursday.

Mr Onasanya acknowledged the synergy between the Political Office Holders and the Bureaucrats towards engendering development in the state.

He submitted that while the government expects optimal productivity from the public servants, it is equally mindful of the need to ensure that the wherewithal to achieve the ultimate is constantly and consistently available therefore the positive posture of the Administration to the welfare and wellbeing of the Civil and Public Servants.

In separate remarks, a former Head of Service, Mr Abayomi Sobande harped on the importance of ethics in ensuring good governance while the state Chairman of the Joint Negotiating Committee, Comrade Isa Onílù appreciated the administration for its gesture towards improving the welfare of the workers.

Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Establishments and Training, Mrs Lydia Fajounbo implored all public servants to continue to contribute to the development of the state.

Present at the Public Service Day Celebration were Commissioners, current and past Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries including, Dr Nafiu Aigoro, Townplanner Amope Chokor, and Engineer Niyí Abiola who is the Chairman of the Retired Head of Service and Permanent Secretaries.
