The committee set up to look into the operational modalities of Moshood Abiola University of Science and Technology and the State Polytechnic Ipokia with the Government is expected to design a master plan.
The Ogun State Governor,Prince Dapo Abiodun stated this while playing host to members of The Abeokuta Club in his office this Wednesday.
The Ogun State Governor, who explained that his administration has decided to look into the law establishing MAUSTECH due to lack of facilities in the institution, added that it has nothing on ground to accommodate it’s grade to a degree awarding institution since it was established.
While debunking the rumour that he has decided to scrap MAUSTECH to hurt the Egba interest, the number one man in the state noted that the action taken by his government was due to the crisis at MAPOLY on the change in it’s status to MAUSTECH.
In his remark, the chairman board of trustees on Abeokuta Club,Professor Afolabi Soyode informed that the Club was initially worried by the rumour making the round but it is now better informed by the explanation of the Governor, adding that all is now clear that the Governor is set to reposition the institution.
