OGSG TO COMMISSION NEW SETS OF HOUSING ESTATES IN IJEBU- ODE, ILARO AND SAGAMU

The Ogun State government says plan has been concluded to commission another set of low income housing estates in ijebu ode, Ilaro, and sagamu in a few weeks’ time.

The commissionet for Housing, jonouranke Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi who made this known this thursday at a press conference held at okemosan, abeokuta.said the five hundred housing units was another testament of governor Dapo Abiodun’s commitment towards the provision of affordable housing scheme for the people of the state

Commending governor dapo abiodun’s policy on housing project, the Commissioner said that no fewer than 4000 housing units had been completed since the inception of his admimistration which according to him is unprecedent in the history of the state.

He noted that the current administration inherited a lot of challenges in the housing sector but was able to resolve it due to its determination to provide shelter for the people of the state.

Speaking further, the commissioner informed that the ongoing Ibara GRA regeneration scheme is tailored in creating value in the state’s housing policy pointing out that major stakeholders across the state including traditional rulers and government functionaries have commended governor abiodun for the intiative.

On kobape housing scheme, the commissioner said a total number of 110 housing units will on monday be allocated to all the outstanding subscribers who are yet to benefit from the scheme, stressing that all the 36 subscribers who defaulted in the payment for the housing scheme would have their money refunded

He assured other subscribers that maynot benefit from the phase three housing scheme that in the next three month the phase four of kobape housing project would be ready for distribbution, emphasizing that governor dapo biodun is not ready to defruad any subscriber of their hard earned money.
