The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Saturday joined dignitaries from across the country at Methodist Church, Ilishan Remo in Ikenne Local Government to bid farewell to late Prince Adeyemi Adefulu
Speaking at the funeral, Governor Abiodun described late Prince Adefulu as a statesman who contributed immensely to the development of mankind and the nation at large
The governor submitted that the deceased was a man of intellect whose prowess for raising a high standard of values among the young generation led to his appointment as the Chairman Governing Council of Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona College of Education, Omu Ijebu, which he said he served the institution meritoriously to achieve its purpose of establishing the iinstitution.
Extolling the virtues of the late legal practitioner and a former commissioner in the state, Governor Abiodun noted that the deceased lived an impactful life by being a philanthropist who contributed to human life at all levels
While urging the family to take solace in God, the state helmsman harped on the need for Nigerians to live an impactful live so that their good deeds will linger on in the minds of people after death
Earlier in his sermon, Bishop Babatunde Taiwo advised the children to be more thankful to God for giving their father the grace to nurture them and even lived a fulfilled life.
Bishop Taiwo also charged the gathering to live a life worthy of emulation as prescribed by Jesus Christ
