Members of the Ogun State House of Assembly have lauded the State Ministry of Housing on the various housing projects initiatives being delivered to meet the housing needs of the people, with a clarification that the ministry has adhered to accounting procedures in its financial records.
The Committee members led by the Chairman, Assemblyman Damilare Bello, gave the commendation, while considering the 2023 audit reports on Ministries, Departments and Agencies at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
The Chairman, directed the ministry to submit in due course the details of monitoring and evaluation for capital projects, stressing the need to strengthen and ensure sustained adherence to financial procedures for enhanced performance.
In his remarks, the Assembly Minority Leader Assemblyman Lukman Adeleye, commended the management of the ministry, noting that it had been delivering on the present administration’s mandate of affordable housing which had been of great benefit to the people, thus putting the State on an enviable pedestal of infrastructural development, thereby contributing to the socio-economic advancement of the State.
