Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, has admonished clergy men to improve on strengthening unity of purpose and harmonious relationship among different denominations of faith, with a view to ensuring a more peaceful, united and strong nation.
Rt. Hon. Elemide gave the admonition, while receiving a delegation from the Church of the Lord (Aladura) WorldWide at his Oke-Mosan Office, House of Assembly Complex, Abeokuta.
He explained that it had become imperative for the clergy men to ensure that christians, irrespective of their doctrines, strive towards extending love, unity, faith and brotherliness that would enable them have a unique identity capable of overcoming challenges and obstacles in building a virile nation.
The Speaker in company of his Deputy, assemblywoman Bolanle Lateefat Ajayi, commended the founder, Josiah Olunowo Ositelu for piloting the affairs of the church over the years to have gotten national recognition.
Earlier in his remarks, the Administrative General, Church of the Lord Worldwide, Aladura, Most Reverend, His Grace David Fabusoro, lauded the Speaker for the quality of leadership being rendered to the State legislative arm, noting that the State had witnessed tremendous progress and improved legislative-executive relationship, which had aided good governance in the State.
He urged the Speaker to sustain the tempo through his purposeful leadership and collaboration to continue to contribute to the advancement of the State.
