Eligible Civil/Public Servants scheduled for the years 2023 and 2024 promotion exercises have been called upon to justify the reason for the promotion by making excellence, transparency and efficient service delivery their watchwords as they climb the ladders of leadership.
The Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, made the call at an interview session in his office on the conduct of the promotion exercise.
According to him, the flag of the Ogun State Civil Service must continue to be held high as exemplified by the forebears of the service, whose standards and legacies must not be brought into the mud.
He said the interview is not a walk over but merit based which entails that all the eligible candidates must justify the reasons for the promotion exercise.
He urged the civil servants to continue striving to achieve efficient service delivery in government business to further promote professionalism.
The Head of Service who Chaired both the Administrative Staff Advisory Council (ASAC) and the Management Committee at separate session of the Interview sessions appreciated the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for his commitment to the welfare, career growth and development of workers across the State and urged them to reciprocate the kind gesture of the governor by being diligent, hard working and dedicated to their duties.
A total of 26,764 civil/ public servants spanning junior, senior and management cadres across Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of government benefited from the exercise.
Some of the candidates interviewed appreciated the state government for the opportunity to be promoted and pledged unalloyed commitment to the ‘Building Our Future Together’ agenda of the State government.
