The Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) in Ogun State has been described as a group of deregistered political parties by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) due to inactivity, lack of public support, and failure to meet electoral requirements.

The Publicity Secretary, of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ogun State, Comrade Tunde Oladunjoye made this known in a statement issued in Abeokuta.

According to the statement, the agitation by the group does little to contribute to meaningful discourse and should be seen in that light.

The statement stated further that the CUPP’s comments about Governor Dapo Abiodun and senior officials in his administration lack substance and appear to be driven by personal motives rather than genuine political concerns.

The statement noted that the government of Ogun State, under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun, remains focused on delivering progress and sustainable development adding that the administration’s commitment to impactful projects and initiatives continues to benefit the people of the state and will not be derailed by baseless allegations or distractions.

The statement therefore urged members of the public to remain focused on the positive strides being made in Ogun State and to view unfounded criticisms with discernment.
