RECONSTRUCTION OF 17 KILOMETERS SANGO-OTA- IJOKO ROAD TO COMMENCE IN FEBRUARY- GOV. ABIODUN

The Ogun State governor Prince Dapo Abiodun has assured that the reconstruction of the 17 kilometres sango-ota–ijoko road will commence by next month

Governor Abiodun who gave the assurance this monday during the inspection of the 3.25 kilometres alagbole-ajuwon-akute road in Ifo local government said the road would be divided into two sections with the reconstruction starting from opeilu which is regarded as the most deplorable part of the road

The governor who was overwhelmed by the completion of alagbole-ajuwon road informed that the road would be commissioned by next month noting that the newly reconstructed road would enhance commercial activities within the area and also pave way for easy movement of people and goods

Describing Ifo 2 local government as important to the state’s economy being a border town to lagos state , the governor said he was in the area to examine the level of the job done by the contractor handling the project and to assure the residents that all bad roads in the local government would be reconstructed before the end of his administration

He implored the residents to take ownership of the road by avoiding dumping of refuse into the drainage warning traders to desist from displaying their wares on the road as the government would not condone such a bad habit
